What does everyone think of Windows Vista?

I am buying a laptop for business use. I have business plan writer software, it doesent have the windows vista logo on it. Does anyone know if software without the vista logo will work with vista?

Vista is turning out to be huge mistake. Even die hard Microsoft supporters are referring to it like Millennium Edition--aka "Mistake Edition." I would just run the program and see if it works. It won't hurt to try.....If you like Microsoft--stick with XP. Consider a Linux distribution--like Ubuntu....

I think its terrible. The system requirements for programs increase dramatically if youre using it. I was looking at a pc game it said system requirements (RAM) were half a gigabyte with xp and a full gigabyte for vista.
In my opinion, Windows Vista is not a great system yet. I think it has way too many bugs yet, and in my case, slows down my internet to almost a 56k modem and I have a broadband connection.

A lot of software will probably have updates online to help it work with Vista.. I know that I have a lot of programs that I've installed on Vista that work fine even though they're pre-Vista, but some other things need specific drivers to work right. I'd check out the website for the business plan writer software you have, and see if it has any troubleshooting for Vista-use.
