Can I install Windows XP Pro on a laptop with Vista on it already?

I just got a new laptop with Vista on it (HP Pavilion tx 1000). I have to have XP Pro on it instead (I asked when ordering and they said they only load Vista now). I've read alot about doing this and am not sure the best way to go about it. It will void my warranty so I have to make sure to do it right.

Also, I don't have an installation disk for XP Pro, just a license number so I'll have to download it.

Please PLEASE PLEASE help me!

I would suggest making yourself a dualboot machine (to get around your warranty worries).

This will give you xp and vista...

This is a link to instructions.

well windows vista is a higher verson of windows and the problem with windows is that if there is a higher verson window the lower one cannot be installed i had a problem with it. u might have some problems so i would prefer u stay with the vista and try to learn how to use it like the windows xp pro
Yes..But you will have others problems like drivers for all your peripherals devices, for example, network driver, video driver, etc.

You have to be sure that you have all of them, you can contact your dealer for support in how to obtain those drivers.
